Evaluation of Suitable Mixture of Water and Air for Processing Tomato in Drip Irrigation in Xinjiang Oasis

Aerated irrigation (AI) has emerged as a method to mitigate rhizosphere hypoxia caused by wetting front with sub-surface drip (SDI). Increasing oxygen in processing tomato’s root zone is beneficial the improvement of gas environment, crop growth, yield and quality. The relationship between aerated quantity not clear. A total eight treatments, including four levels (4950 m3 hm−2 (W1), 4750 (W2), 4500 (W3), 4050 (W4)) combination (A2) non-aerated (A1) were used investigate effects on physiological characteristics tomatoes under mulched Xinjiang, China. plant height, stem diameter, leaf area index dry matter, photosynthesis, fluorescence, fruit quality studied. results showed that biomass accumulation increased 10.2%, 7.3%, 12.5% 6.2% W1, W2, W3 W4 conditions (p < 0.05), respectively, compared irrigation. Yield content Vitamin C soluble solids was 9.71%, 5.59% 5.68% 0.05) higher than conventional irrigation, sugar-acid decreased 0.5%. Through principal component analysis, W2A2 treatment had score according (per weight, number per plant) (Vitamin C, solids, ratio) other treatments. show feasible existing Xinjiang and, this experiment, most suitable planting mode.
